Spider Man into the Spiderverse was banned weeks ago here because of I think it was the LGBTQ flag. My brother was very excited on watching that alas he had to wait for it to come on digital.

This movie in specific would get denied yes due to censorship laws.

This is just my educated guess but films such as let’s say The Substance or Sing Sing would not see the inside of the cinema is because they carry too much risk. There is moviegoing culture here and even if there is, it is saturated in the Indian diaspora which would frankly watch Indian films and so most Indian films get released there while indie projects such as this won’t be released because nobody is interested or not enough interested, there is not much money to be made.
